Sure you can eat that...

I think dog has Pica. You know that crazy disease that causes people to eat random, not normal food stuff. You've probably seen a TLC special on it, because TLC does specials on everything strange. If compulsions to eat wierd stuff ins't special worthy, then I don't know what is.

Except for mothers (and the occasional father) who have compulsions to put their poor, innocent toddler in tiaras... and horrible dresses after spray tanning while at the orthodontist office getting fitted for a tooth filler retainer thing because god forbid your 6 year old shows that she lost a tooth.

But I digress.
Back to Annie's totally evident Pica.

She once ate glass. Its a horrible story that involves a cooling chicken casserole, an elliptical, car keys, broken pyrex, sleepless nights, frantic phone calls to my dad, and watching her poop.

We never even had to go to the vet. It was like nothing ever happened except for Iron Stomach ate half a freaking chicken and a 9x13 pyrex casserole dish.

Later that month, I came home to find my normally sedate dog acting like she was all jacked up mountain dew floating around with red bull wings. Turns out dogs shouldn't eat a brand new tin of instant mocha coffee mix. This meal did require a trip to the vet because caffiene gave her a stomach infection. She was pissed for days.

She is also known for her ability to untie and eat bread/buns without damaging the package.

She also indulges in the random bug, and whatever pickings are left out. If she's really mad, she digs threw the shelves in the pantry. Usually passing up anything gluten free. She knows what taste good. Obviously she can read.

But her favorite snacks are beef basted cookies, McDonalds chicken nuggets and fries, and grass. Especially the Lantanas in the backyard. Which are poisonous to dogs. And she sneeks bites whenever she can't see Michael watching
