Coming to a close...

The school year is rapidly coming to an end.

Emails about end of year parties, giveaways, and boxes have commenced.

There are actually on 9 days of school left. 9 days left of being a kindergarten teacher, at least for the time being.

In the fall, I'll be moving classrooms to a new hallway for 3rd grade.

I'm excited about the challenge (even though at first, I was hesitant). This goes right along with me not keeping jobs for more than a year or so, because of moving around. We are staying put and I am staying at the same school, just something a little different. Hopefully this will give a rest to my restlessness.

In typical style, there are 9 days left of school and I still haven't finished scrapbooks (much closer this year) or report cards. I hate to have to devote the time for them. I'm trying to soak up every moment with these darlings.

My absolute, hands down, favorite moment of this year happened last Friday during field day. We had completed the tug of war rounds, and the person at the station pitted the 4 kinder teachers against each other. Abigail and I were on different sides...And my side won! As I started walking back, I was engulfed in a 22 kiddo group hug. By far, the most loving, rewarding moment. I almost cried. This years bunch has taught me so much, and I am grateful for each experience.
