Robbers vs. Burglars

Did you know that there is a difference between a robbery and a burglary? I mean I didn't until today. Up until this point I thought that they were synonymous of each other, but I was wrong. Apparently there is a big difference between the two. Robbers have the intent to cause bodily harm while taking your stuff. Burglars just want to take your stuff.

Learn something new? Good. Me too.

I learned it from Ant-Man.

To celebrate our upcoming 4th anniversary on Thursday, Michael and I went to go see Marvel's Ant-Man starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, and Evangeline Lilly. It was appropriate that we went and saw it. After all, we both love Marvel movies--we've seen all of Phase Two and all but two of Phase One movies in theaters together. In fact, the Monday after we got married we went and saw Captain America: The First Avenger  at Alamo Drafthouse in Austin.

We contemplated going to Richardson today to see Ant-Man at Alamo Drafthouse, but we instead opted to stay local and see it here in town. It turned out to be the PERFECT date. We watched it in 3D (it's worth it), and were the only people in the theater to do so. It was a great movie watching experience--we made the movie guy who delivered my chili-cheese fries before the movie started laugh when we both said "Oh! I think those might be ours."

The one A downside was no pause button--we both had a lot of soda at the theater and waiting for the post-credit scene was torture. Another downside was that we felt compelled to really clean up after ourselves... we didn't want to be the people who left a huge mess, especially when it was just us in the theater. It would've been awkward for the cleaning crew.  More awkward than it was when the one guy came in the theater to clean it and he scared me half to death. What can I say... I've been jumpy lately.

After the movie we enjoyed playing games in the game room--this is something Michael and I did frequently before we left Lubbock. In fact, one Christmas everything in Michael's stocking came from the arcade at 50th Street Caboose.

I'll leave you with this selfie... I wanted to do photobooth pictures (I ADORE photobooths) but it was out of order.

Ignore Michael's butterfingers... and the poor lighting. I don't have a flash for a forward facing picture.

Have you ever watched a movie and been the only person in a theater?
